Spencer Coan is the Senior Vice President of Investments at SK Commercial Realty. In this role, he serves as listing broker or buyer representative on large commercial transactions, specializing in medical office assets. Spencer has an extensive background in acquisitions and property valuation, and performs consulting services for third party owners and investors.
Prior to joining SK Commercial Realty, Spencer was Vice President of Investment Sales and Senior Analyst at Ackerman & Co., in Atlanta, GA. Prior to that, he was Acquisitions Analyst for Levy Affiliated Holdings in Santa Monica, CA. In these roles, Spencer underwrote nearly $2 billion in real estate assets across the country, helping to acquire over 1.1 million square feet of commercial property. Since 2012, he has transacted approximately $150 million in investment sales across the Southeastern and Midwestern United States.
Spencer earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Georgia with concentrations in Finance and Real Estate and his Bachelor of Arts with Distinction at the University of Michigan, double majoring in Organizational Studies and Communications. He is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), a LEED Green Associate (LEED GA), and a licensed salesperson in Georgia, Kentucky, and South Carolina.
Spencer is active in the Atlanta real estate community and as an alumnus for the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. He is a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, CAIA, CCIM, NAIOP, and US Green Building Council. Spencer was coach of the University of Georgia’s NAIOP School Challenge Competition in 2012 and 2013, member of the 2012 NAIOP Future Leaders, and recipient of the 2009 SIOR Leadership Scholarship Award. He volunteers and supports the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Red Cross, and the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta.
