Hugh Scott, Jr. brings considerable real estate experience to SK Commercial Realty.
Previously, he founded Scott & Associates, Inc. in 1984 under the basic philosophy that if you acquire and manage commercial real estate with the perspective of long term ownership, making the effort to go beyond the expectations of the tenants and investors that your efforts will result in the creation of value in both real assets and goodwill in the community. That philosophy continues to serve him well today.
Mr. Scott is responsible for all facets of the operation of a real estate development and investment company.
AMONG HIS RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:
- Development of new sources for debt and equity
- Investor relationships
- Oversight of principals charged with the responsibilities for the marketing, management, and construction functions of the company
- Sourcing investment and development opportunities
- He also serves as the chief development officer of the company
Prior to the founding of Scott & Associates, he spent five years as a Senior Investment Manager and Broker with Arthur Rubloff & Co, during which he lead production for three of the five years of his affiliation with Rubloff. Prior to joining Rubloff , Scott founded Scott Vending Company which upon its sale to TransWorld Airlines (TWA) was the third largest vending company in Atlanta.
Scott is a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors and the Georgia Association of Realtors. Mr. Scott graduated from the University of Georgia in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science in management and marketing. Mr. Scott is married with two children and four grandchildren.
