Construction Projects Ahead of Schedule at SunTrust Park

Several projects associated with the ongoing SunTrust Park development are ahead of projections, according to officials representing the Atlanta Braves.

Even though seat installation at the stadium wasn’t expected to begin until 2016’s final quarter, president of development Mike Plant has announced that crews are gearing up to begin the installation in the next few weeks. That installation will include 41,500 seats in total. The Braves have also released the stadium’s finalized official seating chart to get fans excited, with 2017 tickets already on sale. The first game is set for April 13, 2017 against the San Diego Padres.

In related SunTrust Park development, crews are close to completing the 9-story office tower to be occupied by Comcast, and nearby mixed-use development The Battery has already landed a bevvy of retailers to fill its space, and continues to meet with interested buyers.

With development and acquisition continuing at this pace, SunTrust Park will likely be a humming mixed-use space and entertainment hub by the time the Atlanta Braves are ready to play ball.
