The Battery Atlanta Will See Its First Tenants In November
The mixed-use development known as The Battery Atlanta near the Braves’ brand new SunTrust Park is quickly closing in on its unveiling to the public and opening to its very first wave of tenants. Progress on SunTrust Park is hovering at 75% complete, but the stadium won’t officially have grass on the field until we get closer to the Braves’ first scheduled game against the Yankees in April 2017. By contrast, The Battery Atlanta will be moving ahead well in advance of that first game: developers are planning a phased completion for the project, with some units ready for tenants as early as November 2016.
The Battery Atlanta: A Mixed-Use Home Run in the Making
The Battery Atlanta development has also continued to add new retailers to its space, with close to 60 separate retail partnerships committed for the development so far. Several buzzed-about dining establishments will be in the mix, including CRÚ Food & Wine Bar, Antico Pizza, a steak house concept by Chef Linton Hopkins, and a full brewery at Tomahawk Taproom, where they’ll be brewing 3 craft beers every day. The famous Wahlburg brothers will also be unveiling their burger chain concept Wahlburgers, and plans for an A&E documentary show of the same name is scheduled to film in the area.
Cobb County residents eager to take advantage of the new hotspot development can also look forward to the opening of The Omni Hotel, a revived Roxy Theatre (backed by Coca Cola), and upscale bowling facility King’s Bowl. By the time of the first pitch of the first Braves’ game in 2017, The Battery Atlanta may already be in full swing and in a nightlife league of its own.
