Allen Brown is a Vice President at SK Commercial Realty, bringing more than 50 years of experience in office and retail properties. He has long specialized in Midtown and Downtown Atlanta, representing a wide range of local, regional, and national tenants including Chick-fil-A, Drug Emporium, Ethan Allen, and Sports Life. Over the course of his career, he has leased numerous large retail strip centers throughout the Atlanta area and has represented every major bank in Downtown Atlanta, including representing Trust Company of Georgia (now SunTrust) in the 1990 negotiation of a 425,000-square-foot service center lease.
Mr. Brown also served as the condemnation officer for the State of Georgia in acquiring the block south of the Equitable Building for Georgia State University's Helen M. Aderhold Learning Center. He has handled the sale of excess properties for Shaw Industries and multiple energy companies. Throughout his career, he has been responsible for more than $2.5 billion in transactions and has been qualified by the courts as an expert witness on property valuation.
Prior to joining SK Commercial Realty, Mr. Brown held senior leadership roles at Lee & Associates, Transwestern, Grubb & Ellis, Advantis Real Estate, and Ackerman & Company.
He is a licensed real estate professional in Georgia and an active member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, Atlanta Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He is also a Phoenix Award winner. Mr. Brown earned his BBA in Real Estate from Georgia State University.
