Jared Barnett is Vice President of Investments at SK Commercial Real Estate. In 2003, Jared began his career as the Co-Founder of Insomnia Cookies, LLC, a national chain of retail cookie outlets. He specialized in investor relations, site selection, and retail build-outs. Prior to co-founding the chain, Jared gained valuable real estate experience working with CB Richard Ellis in New York City, where he worked in retail and office leasing.
Jared assisted in startup and ongoing operations for MDVIP, a concierge medical company purchased in 2007 by Proctor & Gamble, and ClearlyDerm, a retail and on-site dermatology company specializing in cost effective dermatology services for patients and self-insured companies. He is responsible for cultivating ClearlyDerm’s relationship with Humana, as well as numerous physician groups throughout Florida. Jared has also worked in management consulting for ScottMadden before joining the Investments team at SK Commercial Realty.
In his pursuits, Jared has a background working with physicians, hospital systems, and business leaders. He emphasizes strong, enduring relationships and makes special efforts to familiarize himself with the needs of clients.
Jared graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. He received his JD/MBA from the University of Georgia with an MBA concentration in Real Estate. Jared is a member of the Georgia Bar and is licensed to sell real estate in the state of Georgia. He is active in the Jewish Federation of Atlanta, the Atlanta Bar Association and the Atlanta Real Estate Bar Section.
Jared lives in Cabbagetown with his wife and son.
